New company execs bring fresh perspective.
The new company executives include Chief Operating Officer Eran Barak, Chief Marketing Officer Peter Ruchatz and Chief Financial Officer Fahmi Syed.
Parity Technologies, the company building the Polkadot and Kusama blockchains, has added three senior executives to its leadership team, led by founder and CEO Gavin Wood.
Eran Barak was appointed COO, Peter Ruchatz became the chief marketing officer and Fahmi Syed was named the chief financial officer.
Polkadot, a blockchain project, has some good news. Many other crypto companies are laying off staff as the industry braces for a long bear market.
Barak, who has a degree in computer science from Tel Aviv University, has held senior positions at Thomson Reuters, Amdocs and Symphony Communications.
Ruchatz, who will be responsible for Polkadot’s brand development, marketing, and community engagement, has held senior positions at Microsoft and Salesforce.
Before working at Parity, Syed was COO of hedge fund FIFTHDELTA, which started in 2021 with $1.25 billion under management. Earlier he was part of the non-investment team at hedge fund Marshall Wace.
Last November, CoinDesk revealed that Jutta Steiner, co-founder and CEO of Parity Technologies, was leaving her long-standing leadership position. Wood has since taken over from her.
