Danielle Johnson: From Wall Street to Main Street

Prior to joining FBN as an investment strategist for USA Ventures, SY325.PDF-A, Danielle Johnson was the managing director of Credit Suisse's venture capital business in New York.

Galaxy Digital (a href="http://glxy.to/" target="_blank">GLXY.TO) appointed Danielle Johnson as its global head of distribution, and also included her in the company's executive committee, according to a memo obtained by CoinDesk.

  • Johnson will be responsible for Galaxy's global sales and product strategy for institutional investors, as well as overseeing client services in its businesses. She will report to co-president Chris Ferraro.
  • Johnson was a managing director at Credit Suisse, where she led the bank's venture capital coverage based in New York. Before that, Johnson was co-head of Credit Suisse Americas' equities businesses. She had been with Goldman Sachs for over two decades before joining Credit Suisse.
  • Despite the volatility and headwinds affecting cryptocurrency markets, people from traditional Wall Street firms continue to leave for crypto-focused roles. This week, JPMorgan saw three executives depart for digital asset positions after they had left the bank.
