Bitcoin Drops $19,000 in 24 Hours, TFUEL Jumps Ahead of Market Leaders
Bitcoin dropped below $19,000 within the last 24 hours, while TFUEL has overtaken other cryptocurrency market leaders as the biggest increase of a day's move.
Bitcoin's weekend has been quieter than the previous few days, as the asset remains at around $19,000. The altcoins are in a similar position, with little to no movement from the larger-cap ones.
Bitcoin Remains Steady at $19K
Last week was not a good one for Bitcoin, which had reached a high of nearly $22,000 at one point. However, as it has done many times in the past few weeks, it failed to continue rising and reversed its trend quickly.
Following the drop in price, BTC fell to $21,000 a day later and to $20,000 shortly after. In June, which was bitcoin's worst quarter in history, the asset further plummeted to a new 10-day low of around $18,600 (on Bitstamp).
Then, a surprising pump occurred, and BTC jumped to $21,000 but returned below $20,000 minutes later. The cryptocurrency has remained rather still at around $19,000 since then.
As a result, its market capitalization has remained at $365 billion, but its dominance over the altcoins has fallen to 42.2%.

Altcoins, too, have been in the doldrums
The altcoins also fell during the week, but most have since stabilized following the start of the weekend.
ETH came close to breaking below $1,000 but managed to stay above. At the time of writing, ETH was trading at around $1,050. BNB was close to $220 after a minor increase in price.
Cardano and Solana are up slightly on a 24-hour scale, while Ripple, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and LEO are down. TRON has lost the most from the larger-cap alts with a 3% drop.
Theta Fuel was one of the few cryptocurrencies to rise significantly in value, gaining 11% in a day and rising above $0.05.
The crypto market cap has also remained rather stagnant at just over $850 billion, as was expected.
