Biggest Gainers: Tezos and Atom

Tezos and Atom are two of the biggest gainers in terms of price over the past 24 hours. Bitcoin's price remains below $20,000.

After the recent volatility spike, bitcoin has calmed down and is now far below the $20,000 mark. Most other cryptocurrencies are also quite stagnant on a 24-hour scale, with the exception of ATOM and XTZ.

Bitcoin Hasn't Risen Above $20K

The majority of the investors in Q2, which turned out to be one of bitcoin's worst quarters ever, were bearish on BTC. Since then, the coin has been falling in value.

The cryptocurrency was trading at above $21,000 until June 28, but then the bears reappeared. At first, they drove BTC down to $20,000, where it remained for some time.

In the end, it fell below that level and marked a new 10-day low of under $19,000.

The asset's price increased sharply to just under $21,000 at that point.

The price of bitcoin rose above $20,000 for a short period of time but quickly fell back to below $20,000. Since then, the asset has lost a little more value and now stands just inches above $19,000. Its market cap is at $365 billion.
